Table Tennis

Table Tennis

Originally a form of after dinner entertainment, it is now an Olympic and Commonwealth sport and last term alone over 4,200 young people across Wales played the sport through the 5x60 scheme.

So why is Table Tennis proving so popular? It’s fast paced with the ball travelling at speeds of up to 50 mph and demands lighting quick reactions. It also helps improve your hand to eye coordination and like a number of sports is great for improving your fitness levels.

If you like the sound of table tennis and fancy giving it a go then get in touch with your school’s 5x60 Officer. And if you fancy finding out about table tennis in Wales check out the Table Tennis Association of Wales.
